Many people do profiling. People do profiling based on many aspects and reasons such as skin color, belief, or simply on how other dress themselves.

Today blog post is intended to counter the profiling that some people does on Atheistic people.

The first youtube video is intended to eliminate the reason for people to hate atheist. We did not worship god, because we don't believe in one. But it doesn't mean that we don't have moral. Atheist believe in Humanistic, thats is our source of moral. We didn't worship satan either, we didn't believe in any supernatural being, so please get this straight.

Many people also think that world full of atheistic people is disastrous. This is absolutely wrong if you watch the second video. Atheistic people are neutral. I am not saying that religious country are far from peace or happiness, but it is a fact that religion is divisive, and divisions may lead to fights.

this post is about a tv series called survivor.. I've been spending a lot of time recently watching survivor.. just done with season 2 and 3.. skip the first season and watching the 4 season now..

the show is interesting.. 16 people divided into two tribes and try to survive on their own for 39 days in the nature.. there will be challenges for the teams to compete to get rewards and immunity idol. and the team that lose on immunity idol challenge need to vote out their member off.
the concept is very nice, I love it.
however the shows can be very frustrating to watch.

When I heard word survivor, the image that comes out is Bear Grylls or people like him.
but the one that advanced to the finals in this game sometimes are weak people. those that will not really survive if left out in the wild. the winners are sometimes are ordinary people that did not stands out that get voted because he/she is more likeable than the other competitor.

I didn't really have any problem with the winner from season 2 or 3. but season 4 is just hard to watch.
I've watch season 4 until eps 4 now, but eps 3 is the climax that make me frustrated.
the tribes are ROTU and MARAAMU. I like ROTU because the tribes are strong and everyone is diligent
Rotu is the real tribe that can survive in the wild (particularly the location of season 4), even if it is not a game.
To me, That is SURVIVOR.
MARAAMU on the other hand, filled with lazy people such as Rob, Sean, Vecepia, and Sarah. To me, this people are NOT SURVIVOR. However, there is one guy that, in my opinion, stands out among the others, even ROTU tribes people, his name is HUNTER. From Episode 1, even if his tribes keep losing, I still look at him as a real SURVIVOR. ROTU is a SURVIVOR TRIBE, but Hunter is a SOLE SURVIVOR. He knows how to survive, he knows what important, what to do and what should be done to survive. Isn't that survivor?.
But he get voted out at episode three, because his tribe is filled with idiots that did not have ethic, and lazy asses. and, I've checked wikipedia and the winner is Vecepia. WTH!!!. sometimes I really think that this shows might be better called RELATIONSHIPS SURVIVOR IN THE WILD.

this show is just bittersweet. It is the perfect definition for bittersweet to me.

well. I like to question things, including beliefs.
Not all of my friend know it, but I am a free thinker. I don't really keep boasting about my belief in nothing, but it might seems to grow stronger.

Recently I often spare my time to watch youtube channel on Richard Dawkins videos which mostly comes from richarddawkinsdotnet channel on youtube. to look at his talks, debate, and interviews.

I do not belief, not because I just do not want to belief. I don't belief because I do not find the necessity to belief, what is right to belief and why should I belief.

every religion talks about faith. but, if you think about it, faith is blind, because faith is not supported by any evidence. I will not blindly belief in something unless I see a clear evidence and reasons on why I should belief in something and stand by it.

many religions told that god created human and other living creature on this earth, in the definition that human in the first place do not have any ancestor as it is created as human straight away by god in the first place. however, science shows that human is an evolution from other creature which is some kind of apes. and as I know, no religion teach about evolution in its holy book.

there are many other controversial things that you can find on the internet, and books. try to open your mind and question everything. seek for the truth. simple question can have deep meaning. just try to look it broadly, is this right? is this wrong? why my belief is right? why not other people's belief? is it wrong not to belief?.
just keep ask yourself question. what? why? who? where? when? how?.

I do not encourage any people who read this to become a free thinker like me. But I hope this post can encourage people to seek for the truth, to ask questions, ask for clarity.

life is a learning experience and learning is a journey. it will be a shame to live your life based on something that supported by nothing or supported by bullshits.

Blabbering

Alright, I written everything last night at foyer, but the internet got problem, so I just save what I wrote to notepad and copy paste it back to the blog today. here we go

4:29 am in the morning.. still in the foyer, with yinyun twins..

bored already and can't continue to study, therefore I am here blabbering on my blog.
Lots of things have been left out from being written on this blog since the last post.
The trip to broga, monash extreme sport carnival, dinner @ steamboat with sunway marketing staff, teachers day events, etc etc

I'll just write summary of some events that I still remember

Broga Hill

its pretty enjoyable, its been long since I'm putting an effort to see a sunrise up a hill. I went there together with novita, oliva, shenny, susan, mega, rocky, rio, and yudi. had a nice morning exercise followed up by decent breakfast.

Monash Extreme Sport Carnival

I performed at this carnival with my new band. MK Ultra, we just been together for one month at that point of time, but I think we performed pretty well.
I've moved from one band to another. namely

1. X-Numb. the band I created during highschool. I was the lead guitarist, after one performance then we disband.

2. No Name Band (at monash with hazique cs). just performed once at monash street performance and thats it.

3. Session guitarist for Justin cs. only for a while during the cns week of music club

4. Session Bassist/Guitarist with Johan and Ivaldi. Only performed once at monash music club gathering night, but we jam few times until now. but kinda rare. btw Johan is the guitarist that made me willing to sacrifice from being guitarist and start playing bass seriously

5. Vanishing acts, together with oliva, mega, steph, and jeffrey. I was the guitarist and we performed once at Monash Talent night 2009. This is a pretty good band, I'd like to perform more with them but just not the kind of band that I will put my 110% into it. Genre differences problem. the feeling is more on playing for fun and experience only.

6. MK Ultra. performed once at MESC. after moving from one band to the other, this is the band that I think I should stick with. however slight changes might need to be done here. not everybody moving to the same direction. once that tackled, I believe this can be a decent band. everyone just need to develop their skill more. Arman need practice on vocal, I need more stamina and stability on playing bass, ziyan need to get a synth and learn it well. and we need a MUSE oriented drummer (jeffrey, I am sorry if u ever read this). if all that things done, it'll be nice. finally I found a non-mainstream band that fit my style, and can bring out the craziness out of me, never in my life I jump around in the studio or stage when jamming a song.
If I managed to get a job in malaysia, I will keep this band together and hopefully we can do some crazy stuff. I think Arman have a great ability and also determination in creating and playing his own music, I want to bet my luck on that. hopefully we can create original songs and start small by playing frequently at Cafe's.

sometimes I think its pretty crazy and silly if I look back at times. All this music and band things is started because of an ANIME. its called BECK. The ANIME is about highschool boys that loved music and his journey on creating his ultimate band and music. Looking at the ANIME, I was moved and feel like to have a band on my own, thats when it all start. of course with further influence from MUSE, inspirational people like flea, and some friend.

Teachers day events
luckily my classes are only on monday and thursday, and sunway having teachers' day event on tuesday and wednesday for two weeks in a row. so there are totally 4 day of teachers' day celebration.
sunway invited around 200 teachers from selangor area.

because the event do not clash with my classes I managed to join all the event and helped out. In return, in all 4 days I had 4 different meals in sunway dining room which all are very nice. My favorite is the beef steak, and the tiramisu dessert. yummy. more events like this please. :p

I realized that I am the only student helper that join all 4 teachers' day event. so lucky.

at the last day, there are some extra little pot plant to give out, so each student helper can get one. I take one and give it to Shenny since Novita said that she must really liked it.

Recording
recently I try to record a song. using sonar 8 producer, I am trying to do an amateur home recording. but its not easy as I thought, but I am trying my best.
having headache working on it sometimes, as I had writers' block all the time. I do not not how to connect the instruments and vocal so that they make one nice flowing sound. what I have now are notes that sounds ok individually but did not work properly if put together. I hope I can overcome this soon. its killing me

Swimming
redang trip coming soon on july. I can swim but not very well. I only can swim breaststroke and I really think I need to learn freestyle. so far I managed to swim back and forth at condo swimming pool 6 times, but of course with some rest interval and using breaststroke. I want to improve my swimming ability and able to hold longer breath, if I managed it I think I'll have some pretty nice snorkeling experience later at redang. its gonna be fun.

Big Night Out 2010 at Singapore.. This is the second annual Big Night Out at Singapore
The Headline is MUSE, and the bands that assisting them are saosin and rise against.

So, My journey starts at 3rd February morning

7.am wake up and get ready
8.45am met Daniel (apparently he is going to batam at that day, using aeroline to singapore) at lobby
then we walk to pyramid to take aeroline.
9.30 the bus take off.

-inside the bus-

Had my breakfast inside the bus. They provide subway sandwich for breakfast. Pretty Good
Then watch 2 movie inside the bus. The movie played was Raise your Voice (hillary duff movie), and some alien movie (family movie).

around 2.30 when I arrived at Singapore immigration, I got into a little bit of problem there.
This is my third time coming to Singapore, but apparently this is my first time coming there using my own passport. Before that I didn't have a passport and enter Singapore under my father passport account.
Therefore, they held me for around 15 min there, filling up my data in the database, finger print, address in Indonesia and Malaysia, Which College did I attend, College Address, bla bla bla.
SHIT!! they just waste my precious time. I need to go to Singapore Indoor Stadium ASAP, I need to get in the queuing line.

Due to that I am behind the schedule that I have set.
3.30 I arrive at Harbour Front Centre.
3.45pm I arrive at the hotel. Hotel 81 Palace at Geylang (apparently this area is famous for prostitution, and I can see that clearly, many prostitutes houses there).

This is the hotel room that I am Staying in. Spent $60 for this room.

4.pm I arrive at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, and Immediately start to get in the queuing line.
There was MUSE souvenir shop at that time, selling MUSE T-Shirts, MUSE bags, MUSE badges.
I wanted to buy something from the shop but my priority now is to get good position watching MUSE later on, so I need to queuing in the stadium entrance, not queuing in front of the souvenir shop.
I was hoping that the shop is still open after the show is done, apparently not. That SUCKS

The queuing line around 4.30pm

while waiting for 3 hours to get inside from the west entrance, I just listen to MUSE in my MP3.
6.45.pm the west entrance open. But things starting to get messy, people break through the queuing line. looking at the other do so, I don't want to lose and let those people get nice position, so I also break through the queuing line. Suddenly many of those that are behind me are now in front of me, and many of those that are in front of me are now Behind me. Very sad. But Whatever.
Around 7 managed to go Inside the Stadium and get the free standing area. I think I'm around 6-9 Row, Not so sure, But its pretty close, BUT NOT CLOSE ENOUGH, I want closer.

Saosin open the Big Night Out, Then Rise Against.
Save The Best For The Last, MUSE Perform after these two bands.
I don't know what happen in this Big Night Out, but the supporting bands play too freaking many songs.
I believe Saosin play around 8 to 10 songs, and rise against play around 6 to 8 songs.

Saosin

Johan and Shakila seems to like this band. So I have great expectation on them to Rock the Big Night Out.
But Apparently, They didn't leave good impression on me.

1. Their Music is rather similiar with other punk rock bands, quite distinctive, but not distinctive enough.
2. They play around 5 or more songs with the bass off or maybe the volume is too soft. They keep going with it, Where I think they shouldn't. The vocalist drummer and guitarist should buy the bassist some time to get his bass sounds rights. just do some instrumental shit or interaction with the audiences (well actually they did a little bit of interaction to buy some time, but it just for 1 min which is not good enough for the bassist to get the technical problem solved). at the last 4 songs then the bass volume is loud enough.
3. I personally think they didn't have good attitude. They were asking how many Saosin Fans in the house (they ask their fans to raise their hands). Then they start talking about maybe they should
do a headlining in the future. I don't care if they do headlining in the future event, go ahead dude. But it just the way they say things, expression, gesture, intonation, I just feel that they intimidated by how many MUSE fans compared to Saosin fans that night, and how the crowd didn't really rock on to his expectation. Oh please, You guys are not big yet, don't compare yourself to MUSE. MUSE have influenced many artist just check it out at

Rise Against

Not much to say about this band
But They have some pretty good song. There is one song that is really good that night, very familiar to me.
I don't know whether it is their original or they do cover song that night.
They have good attitude, showing some support for both MUSE and saosin.

MUSE

When the other 2 bands play, the crowd is very messy, at some fast pace songs some people jumping around (which is good, I did that too), but the others look for chance to steal spots and start pushing around when the other jumps (I believe that is because some MUSE fans that stands rather behind want to come front, so they start pushing, the times Rise Against almost finished their performance, more pushing happens).

Thank god when it come to MUSE performance, all the crowd suddenly become more cooperative.
Probably because everyone more focus on capturing picture, singing along, rather than do some pushing pushing and pushing.

Many of the crowd are just like hypnotized when MUSE performs.
Have you ever come to a charismatic church and see how they sing along inside the church?, that is just what happen inside Singapore Indoor Stadium when MUSE perform. just 100times better, wilder, louder.

My soul just drown into their songs that night. chanting every song lyrics, clapping, raising both of my hands and move them to the beat, jumping. I just went crazy, completely crazy.

The Setlist
We Are the Universe (Intro)
1. Uprising
a great choice for opening song
during the chorus, I got really excited coz we are all like MUSE cult group when everyone chant "They will not force us, they will stop degrading us, they will not control us, we will be victorious".
2. Supermassive Black Hole
probably the song that all Muse Fan there know (those twilight fan probably just know SBH and the new The Resistance album song)
3. Map of the Problematique
Really nice guitar effect on this song.
4. Resistance
one of my favorite song from the new album. Great feeling on the drum.
all the fans cooperate well on chanting "it could be wrong, could be wrong"
5. Interlude + Hysteria
the outro from this Hysteria is special, really like it. first time of hearing this type of outro, just small changes on the guitar notes but made the songs feel very fresh.
6. Stockholm Syndrome
the first thing that come to my mind when they play this song is "a dream come true". because I keep imagining and dreaming watching MUSE playing this song live. One of the best Live song from MUSE. Event MUSE admits that this song is very fun to be played live.
7. Nishe
good filler while the crew arranging Matt White Kawai Piano
8. United States of Eurasia
Very Nice background on the screen behind them. It shown closed up picture of fans, and some videos on wars and politics. Euraasia~~sia~~sia~~sia.. Euraaasia~~siaa~~sia~~siaa~sia~~ (good ending of this song)
9. Sunburn
Totally didn't expect this one coming. haha. So glad that they play a song from Showbiz. Nishe also from Showbiz album, but it more to instrumental filling song. Not many of the fan know this song. I only hear Matt and My Voice on this one, I didn't hear anybody sing along on this song. Maybe there are some other person, not that I aware off. Great version of Sunburn, Matt replace the guitar solo with Piano, Greato..
Helsinki Jam
Great job by Chris and Dom. Nice Jam they got there. Brilliant Idea to buy Matt some time to get ready with his keytarcaster.
10. Undisclosed Desires
probably the song from MUSE at that night where I didn't get so hyper. I think its because the main power in this song is Matt Vocal. There is no Piano or Guitar in this song, and there are 3 and 4 layers of vocals on some parts of the song. on live, they can only create 2 layer of vocal, Matt + Chris, Maximum 3 with Morgan (the so-called 4th member of MUSE) helping with the vocal, Dom Can't sing thats why. Furthermore, the vocals is not just simple vocal, but high technique with effect added vocal. With that great layers of vocals gone, this song is not so great to be performed live compared to the other song. FYI, the laser start it action from this song onwards
11. MK ULTRA
Matt Guitar at the bridge is really really LOUD here, Awesome!!.
12. Starlight
Clapping to the beat create a very nice atmosphere there. Spelling TITS in morse code.. Gotta Fucking Love it.. Hahah..
13. Time Is Running Out
at first I thought they were gonna play plug in baby, because Matt take the position he usually take when he want to play plug in baby.. TIRO is awesome.. The Crowd chant "Bury it, I won't Let you Bury it, I won't let you smother it, I won't let you Murder it"..
14. Unnatural Selection
most of the fans join chanting at "counter balance this commotion , we're not droplets in the ocean"
Encore
15. Exogenesis: Symphony Part I (Overture)
I overheard them rehearsing this song when I was sitting outside queuing. Again, I only hear Matt and my voice on this song. I feel like possessed by something when it comes to "who are we. when are we, why are we, why are we, why why why".
16. Plug in Baby
Another one of their best song performed live. Matt literally dancing with his guitar. Awesomeness!!
17. Man with a Harmonica + Knights of Cydonia
Chris Harmonica comes to the ear, and straight away stuck in my heart. Hahah.
an Awesome ending for Big Night Out
Love the crowd chanting "No One Gonna Take Me ALive, the time has come to make things rights, U and I must fight our rights, U and I must fight to survive.

I thought they will play "guiding light" because I overheard they doing rehearse on this song, but apparently not.

Looking at their performance live. Know I know why that they get the best live act awards consecutively and why they got PhD from a university. They really2 smart when they perform live. Everything is well planned
The entrance, the set list, the lights, and coordination.

For Example when it comes to United States of Eurasia and Sunburn where Matt gonna need the Piano, they play Nishe first, therefore, there is an Instrumental song that the audience can listen to while the crew prepare the piano. Then when Matt set up his keytarcaster when it comes to undisclosed desires, Dom and Chris play the helsinki jam, Bass Solo + Drum. Therefore, the audience is never left with a single minute where there is no MUSEic playing. We always get to listen to something great every single minutes of their performances.

The Crowd
Generally, Some of them sucks.
Why?
1. some don't have any manner, they push people for fun. WTF?
2. many of them are not gentlemen. Hey dude, C'mon even if it is not your friend, if there is a girl beside you and people start pushing, try protect her a bit la.
3. Some are really lame, there is this one group of friends, around 7 ppl. THEY SUCKS. I don't know what they doing there at the front free standing area, they better just go home and play their Playstation. After Rise Against perform, while the crew moving out all Rise Against Equipment and Start Moving in MUSE equipments many of the audience start screaming MUSE. But this stupid group just screaming BULLSHITS. They screamed "westlife, backstreetboys, maria ozawa, bonjovi, etc etc". Damn!!, Maria Ozawa is not even a musician, She is a porn Star. WTH!!

MUSE Crowd
I feel rather proud telling this here. Many of them are not Hardcore fans like me. When MUSE play "Sunburn" and "Overture" I felt that I am one of the few that singing along and know the lyrics of the songs.
I believe many of them didn't know and didn't listen to "Showbiz" Album.
and when MUSE give a little bit of time for fans to scream song title to request. The fans just screaming, "Plug in baby" and "Knights of Cydonia".
Iam the only one that screaming "thought of a dying atheist", "Hyper Music", and "Citizen Erased"
Asides from that they were pretty good. Know the songs well, know the lyrics and the beat well.
Hyper and High. It feels very nice to be in the front row watching them up close and jumping around with bunch of other fans.

Overall

It is a very great experience for me, very fun, ROCK to the MAX.
attending this gig I also realized that I am not just MUSE fans, I am MUSE worshipers.
doing this, means that I have fulfill one of my mission in my life.
still got a lot of mission left though.
Climbing Everest, Abseiling at Angel Falls, get my own House, have a pet (preferably eagle), etc etc.

Lepok Waterfall

Alright..

After such a long time without any "Real" trekking, finally I've come back to the wild..
Yesterday I went to Lepok Waterfall. This is the second waterfall that I went, the first one is chilling waterfall (been there 3 or 4 times =.=, but it is very beautiful indeed)

wake up 6am in the morning, as the invitation to trek was soooo last minute, I didn't have time to prepare the food nor water for this trekking.

went to college at 7 am, meet Amir at the foyer. Apparently he is officially a pilot now and work with firefly. Congrats.

After a little chat with Amir, I went to the water shop at the Cafe to fill my empty water bottle. Unfortunately, the green light (which indicate that the water is save to drink) is not on. But whatever, I need water to keep me hydrated, so I just put in 50 cent to the machine, and fill my empty water bottle.

After that I went Back to Foyer and Met Mr.TMC. I told him that I got no food for this trek, and he said he have bread that he can share with me (which actually have been expired for one day). Again, whatever, I need food to keep me going. It just expired by one day anyway. LoL

7.25, Everyone hop on to the bus and we go to the trekking spot. around 25 people join the trek

I'm not sure what time, maybe at 8.30, we arrived at Sungai Lepok.
Do a little warm up and then start walking.
TMC take the front, Amir and Me have to take care at the back.

Everyone walked quite fast actually, The trek estimated to be 2 hours walk, but 1 hours++ we arrived at the waterfall already. At certain spot, TMC told everyone to be careful because it is slippery there, But he is the first one to slip at that spot near the waterfall and got washed by the water. He got himself all wet and his camera too. =.='''. I was hoping that I could get some pictures from Him. But now I have to wait Amir to print his picture first, then upload it on his blog or facebook (yea, he need to print it first, he use film camera)

TMC and I ate all the expired bread together with a can of tuna. TMC also make a hot Milo and Share w/ me. Pretty nice trekking for me, as I don't need to prepare food nor milo but I have someone who will share for me, and all I need to do is just help him carry the bread and the gas + stove. hahah

on the way back, I walk at the front. Until I have to stop at one spot (because its likely for the others to choose the wrong trail at this spot). So I stop and wait for those who walked behind me. wait for around 20 minutes, until everyone that is not guided by TMC pass the "potentially misleading spot". Then after that I run run and run try to catch up with the one at the very front. Apparently I can't, they are too far in front of me, I just managed to catch up with the new MDM lecture (I forgot her name).

I think I managed to reach the starting point from the waterfall in less than one hour (not so sure, didn't check the time). Before Everyone come, I took the chance to changed my cloth inside the empty bus. After change my cloth, I bought an Ice cream and wait for the rest.

1++ we rode the bus back to sunway, 2++ we arrived at sunway, then TMC, Amir, and me went to jaffar to have lunch. Out of the blue, TMC take his money and ask Amir to pay for the food, including mine and Amir's. Thx for the treat.

overall, this trek had been pretty fun, and apparently this is the my first trek that didn't have group picture, and my first trek where I used my MP3 and have "MUSEic" in my ear while walking deep in the jungle.

I supposed to do revision for exam now.. But too lazy to do it..

I spend the day revising Marketing Plan power point for TGV cinema, facebook, play my guitar, and listen to MUSE.. till suddenly something went on my mind when I saw steve vai private tour video where he gave name to his two favorite guitars..

for 2 years I kept my acoustic guitar unnamed, and gave my electric guitar a half-assed name (blackie)

today, I finally got the inspiration of what my guitars name should be..

the L.A music acoustic guitar name shall be "Sam" from now on.
and the Ibanez Jem JR BK electric guitar shall be "Dean" from now on.

anyway, starting summer I will work part time @ sunway to gain money to buy a bass. I also decided the name for my future bass. Its gonna be "Bobby"

All of the 3 instrument shall become the "Hunters" Family. Hehehe

They name are all inspired from Supernatural characters. Somehow I think it fits the character of the instrument.

Dean is the straight forward, Clumsy, Macho, Rock n Roll, Violent kind of guy. Thats why his name shall be used for the black electric guitar.
Sam is the Loving, Smart, Complex, Diligent type of guy. Thats why his image more fitted to be in the Acoustic Guitar.

First time jamming as a bassist..

October 1st... at 3pm
I was jamming as a bassist for the first time @ d'rhytmix studio with Johan and Ivaldi for 1 hour and 30 minutes

we performed together before @ monash music club get together night..
we performed hotel california-eagles and wind of change-scorpion

five songs is chosen to be played in this jamming session
1. metallica - the four horsemen
2. metallica - orion
3. metallica - welcome home sanitarium
4. muse - resistance
5. muse - knight of cydonia

but we didn't really jam resistance as Ivaldi listened to the fake version of resistance.. lol

It was very nice to jam with them.. Both of them very skillful with the instrument
Johan with his line 6 pod x3 can make his guitar sound the same like the original song
Ivaldi, he didn't have a drum set but he managed to play the songs nicely.. I don't know how a drummer can practice using imagination.. Can guitarist or bassist do that?

Knight of Cydonia seems to be our favorite at the time.. however out of all the four song.. This song is the one that I have the major problem on.. I can't remember the notes of the first half of the song correctly.. However, we jam the second half of the song quite nicely... I still have to train my stamina on playing fast riff though..

My personal favorite is Orion... The bass is nice and I like it when Johan makes a fading in-out sound with his guitar...

looking forward to the next jam with them..

I think I need to buy a bass.. but I need to get the money first.. I have to work part time on summer no matter what...

----28 September 2009-----

Wake up early in the morning...
prepare my luggage and call the taxi... we need 5 taxi and I just got 3 deal with taxi drivers that I know, therefore I called sunlight taxi service. Around 6.40 called sunlight taxi, and 10 minutes later after I called, they called me back and told me that there is no taxi... I said "WHAT", and immediately they closed the phone. Got panic for a while and tried to call public cab taxi service. They didn't even pick up the phone. WTH!!..
I called taxi Kenny after that. luckily he got two taxi that can we use to puduraya, but the deal is rather expensive, RM30.

around 7.10 we went to Puduraya, and reach the destination around 8.05
Uncle mike friend which supposed to charge based on meter (25.??) charge us RM30..
I'm not the type of guy that would argue or fight for the fight ringgit.. So, sorry guys if our cost is RM5 higher..

At puduraya, we have a light breakfast of donut there and take the bus to Lumut at 8.35.
The 4 hours spent in the bus is very boring. Nothing to do, and it even hard to sleep, the chair is not comfortable enough.

Yinny, attempted to be kind to Hebi said "mundurin aja kursinya heb, KAKI KU PENDEK"
As I was sitting beside her, I immediately said what she had said once again louder... LOL

First event on the island is cycling.
Yinny decided not to join the event.. maybe because she scared of falling of from a bicycle again.
Susan need to take a quick lesson of "how to ride a bicycle" from us.. :p
Cycling @ Pangkor is pretty much fun.. But I get full of myself having fun and forgot about the others. I went to fast and leave the group behind while cycling. Forgotten about Susan that haven't mastered the basic of cycling. Sorry, My bad. :p

Susan was struggling riding the bicycle, and after a while we decided just to rent a motorbike to help Susan. Therefore, Amonk and Me went back to the hotel and rent a motorbike for RM25/day. I rode the motorbike and fetch Susan to the hotel. At the hotel backyard, we saw "BABI HUTAN". Lots of them, 2 adults Babi hutan, and 10 young babi hutan.

After that, I take a bicycle and went back to search for the other and saw them at a shore. then we took some picture together.

After this we went back to the hotel for a while. Ask the uncle if we still have the time to ride banana boat but apparently we were too late. Therefore, we decided just to go back to the beach and have some fun.

Some of us were "attacked" by a tentacle. K, got the biggest injury from the tentacle.

We have BBQ at the night, and it was really really delicious. We had Fried Rice, Fish, Prawn, Crab, and Chicken.
I liked the ray fish the most, and the sambal.. uuuhh. it was very nice

--------29 September 2009--------

Day 2 of the trip.

I wake up around 7.40 in the morning to realise that I did not need to take a bath at that morning coz we will be wet soon as we gonna play banana boat and snorkeling.
8.10... Didn't feel sleepy anymore. I decided just to go to the shore and enjoy the view. I sat there alone for about 10 minutes then look for some shells for another 10 minutes.

After that I went back to the hotel and eat breakfast of nasi lemak with the others.

After everyone finished the food, we took a boat to take us to the snorkeling spot. The boat is pretty fast, and the uncle that drove the boat lean the boat left and right to make it fun.. Oliva got very scared when the boat leaning left and right. I think she might have phobia of water. She hold Shanaynay's and Mollen's hand tight.
She almost cried and I don't really know what to do to comfort her. But after a while, I think she get used to the boat a bit. :)

Taekwondo MAPCU

This is my 3rd time to join Taekwondo MAPCU competition..

I joined both poomsae and sparing competition
I know my chance of winning is very small as I'm up against black belts.
I wanted to train more before the MAPCU competition to be more prepared but there are a lot of stuffs that I need to do such as assignments, and other events.
The event was held in APIIT on 26 and 27 of September

---------SPARRING-----------

First day of the competition is Sparring.
Before the competition, I keep practicing my chopping kick. I'm planning on use that kick the most during the sparing competition. However, things are completely different during the competition. I was too nervous, my leg was so stiff. My chopping kick is just very slow and can't reach him. Even when I managed to land my leg on his head, it have no impact, and most probably I just hit the helmet.

I know my mistakes, I just moved backward and forward, not sideways. I kept kicking my opponent back and not his front body. When he guard his body, I don't have the idea how to score. I supposed to do fakes, I supposed to move faster, but my movement is stiff. I'm supposed to be fast, but I was slow at the time. The most fatal mistakes that I did is giving my opponent the distance to kick. I keep pulling back when he kicks. I supposed to do the opposite. MOVE IN. Therefore its gonna be his thigh or knee that hit me, and there will be no point nor impact. My guard is also a fatal mistakes that I did, I didn't guard my head properly, therefore my opponent manage to hit my neck twice and my face once. My neck and nose was swollen, and I got crack on my nose.

The score gap is very big, It was 3 to 11 or 3 to 12 if I'm not mistaken.
yea, I managed to score some points. But its pointless as I still lose the match.
I want to win, but there might be no more MAPCU for me, I'm going to graduate next semester.

--------POOMSAE-------

Next day is Poomsae competition.
The night before the competition, I did a little bit of extra training so that I can win.
At the day it self, there are 22 competitors in the poomsae of black belt category.
when I saw the other competitor doing their poomsae, I thought that sunway and monash have a good chance to win this. In my opinion their poomsae is not as good as sunway and monash people.

When it comes to my turn doing the poomsae, I did the same mistakes like before, NERVOUS.
Because of nervous, I don't have the speed and power in my movements as I think too much when I wanna move to the next step.

In the end the winners are
1. HELP university student (can't recall his name, but apparently this guy is sea games gold medalist @ 2003)
2. Yung lin
3. Wei Hong

the first winner scored 91 points, and both yung lin and wei hong scored 78 points.
I just scored 70 points, not good enough to win the game.

During my last holiday at june, I spent most of my time in Pekanbaru, Indonesia

Almost every morning I watch various of Indonesia Music Shows. I only remember one of the shows name, Its called "dahsyat". A lot of band perform in this shows, however many of them performing Lip sync or using playback. WHAT THE HELL!!

Music is not just a performance, it is not just for shows, not only for enjoyment

It is a message, and also emotion. There is no way you can shows true emotion or send the right message of the song to your audience if you performing Lip Sync or using Playback.

Its better for them just to hear your music from Tape, CD, or Mp3 if you perform like that.

The following video I'm gonna shows you is a band (MUSE) which understand completely how emotion and message of music should be delivered, how can it be theatrical and not just ordinary shows. In those video, MUSE was asked to perform in the shows using playback or Lip Sync. However they know how to fight this kind of shows that wants playback performance.

In this video, they supposed to perform "uprising" using playback. they retaliate in a funny way, they switch position with each other.

Dom even make joke of the emcee during the interview after the playback performance.

This was years ago. They were asked to perform Playback, and again they switch position during the performance.

There are some of other performance where they somehow have to perform playback and they always retaliate in various ways. Other than switching position, they also sometimes give "the finger" to the camera or scream like hell. Matt even did a breakdance together with his manson guitar during a playback, LOL. anyway, few days ago I got MUSE new album

all songs are nice, especially MK Ultra, Resistance, and Unnatural Selection

However, I am a little bit disappointed as they are not as raw as they were before. I hope they will produce more songs that similar in style with "Dead Star", "Citizen Erased", "Hyper Music", and "Futurism". These are the type of song from MUSE that could make me head banging to the max.

. Moreover, Matt new guitar, the keytarcaster kinda upset me. A guitar without a string is not a guitar, when I saw Him with His keytarcaster I was like "What The Fuck".

Thats it. Just a little bit of update for now!!!.

Climbing up "Gunung Mei Fong"

"Gunung Mei Fong" is actually Bukit Tabur.. I change the name of Bukit Tabur into "Gunung Mei Fong" because Mei requested it.. I dunno what is the reason that make she want to make bukit tabur into "Gunung Mei Fong", maybe because the place near her home.. I Don't really know..

For Mr.TMC, pls don't bother about the name thing...

On Wednesday night, 19 March 2008, during My "Busy" time, I checked my E-Mail and found a letter send by Mr.Tan, Said that he planned to go to Bukit tabur on 21st of march, friday.. but, because I have replacement class at that day, I said to him that I can't go.....

On Thursday, I met with Mei at sunway lobby foyer while I was going back to Condo.
She said that the trek is only from 5am to 10am, so I can still go to my class, Then I called Mr.Tan, but I need some confirmation first be4 I can go, because he was waiting for reply from the other 2 fellas...
I called him again at night, and he said that probably I can't go to my class if I join the trek.. Then I call steffie whom is my groupwork teammate, I said that I can't come to class because I need to go somewhere, and with humble I ask her to change my presentation time to next week.. luckily the kind steffie allowed me to go, but I know that she prefer me not to go, because she didn't prepare for presentation (as if I prepare for the presentation, lol).. then I call Mr.Tan once again confirm that I would go..

so, on 21st of march I went Up "Gunung Mei Fong" a.k.a Bukit Tabur..

It was my second time climbing up there.. But this time, we climbed from the other side..

At 5am sharp, I was waiting for Mr.Tan to pick me up at condo Main Gate, The view was quite nice at that time, The Full Moon was so big and beautifull..

then, TMC came with Mei and Amir by using "god knows who"'s car..

not so long after that, another fella came, zubyr was his name..

We start the trek around 6am, It was very dark at the time, and we need torch light to light our way.. and unFORTUNATELY, I didn't bring my torchlight while the others have one with them.. so I have to use my night vision mode on my eyes during the trek..

The trek was easier at first, because I didn't carry a lot of things, light is the only problem for me..

We were lost a bit when we start, but not long after that we find the right way..

because we miss this tiny little hole, we went the wrong way..

after 30minutes trek, we got a nice view of the city near klang gates at night..

then, After another 30 minutes trek, we reach the top and we can see the mist of bukit tabur, and the sunrise..

U can see that, Mr.Tan as usual force other people to give their water to be used to cooked his food.. Look at Mei sad expression (Mei: My water.. Hiks hiks..).. lol.. jk

to reach this peak, you need the guts, going up was damn scary, and going down a lot more scarier..

Everybody said that this trek is more tiring than G.Datuk except me.. I dunno why, maybe I'm Just not good enough to climb up datuk, but somehow, I love that mountain, maybe because of the memories... but this is not really a problem, I once heard from Rita that G.ledang was a lot more tiring that Gunung Than.. = =

I think I'll cut the story here, too Lazy to explain about all the things happened...
It was A fun trek with a lot of Annoying ants on the way down, a lot of rubbish, and dirty river....

On 14 march I went up Gunung Datuk for the second time..

around 3 pm, arwin, arie, and I met on side gate to meet with the other trekkers at sunway lobby foyer..

on the lobby foyer, I saw many "new" faces and "old" faces. Some of them have trek with me several times, they are Amir, Scott, Mr.TMC, and Mr.Varga.

It was a very enjoyable trek, many friendly CIMPans

Gunung Datuk was never an easy trek for me
The first time I went up Gunung Datuk is my first time trekking, I'm dying going up, and for the second time, Gunung Datuk killing me again. I underestimated this mountain and take too much load on my bag.. I brought up 3 litres water, 1 huge plastic floormat, 1 4-men tent, 4 apples, 3 breads which turned into mashed breads because I squeezed it in my bag, 1 rocky, 2 cadburry, 2 Cup Ramen, 1 gas, 2 pan, and 1 Sleeping bag.

but I admit that I need to train more so that I can be the best beast of burden and able to help my fellas to carry the loads.

My sweat starts raining all over my body since the first twenty minutes of the trek. Gunung datuk just have a long steep section which make me sooo tired..

This trek brings back the memories from my first trek to Gunung datuk, I miss some of my buddies that trek with me at that time, they are Aloy, Nini, Fani, Kourosh, and Farah.

At the time I reach the peak in this trek, some tent have been set up, then I helped to set some tents and one of them was set on a "Isolated" area which was very windy (this tent was blown up by the wind at the night, and those guys who slept on this tent move to other tent except steve who chose to sleep on the peak)

after set all the tent, we cook, we eat, and all of us gather together and talk to each other. we sang a song which called "row row your boat" and I also have a duet with Mr.Varga singing "Wherever you will go" from "the calling". some people tell jokes and ghost story.

after the night gathering, I chose to go to the peak to meet Mr.TMC, and on a night I count that I go up and down from the camp site to the peak 4 times.
-the first time with Mr.Varga, we went to meet Mr.Tan on the peak, and found Mr.Marc Andre was up there too.
-the second time was with Mr.Tan, Mr.Varga, and Mei
-the third time was with gabby, leon, and smita, and Mr.Tan
-the fourth was with steve, amir, Mr.Tan

Amos and Nee On come at 3.15 to the peak which surprise me, these to fellas are crazy trekkers..

everybody went down the peak around 4am, except steve and me, yeah we are the only survivor.. Hell yeah

can't sleep at all on the peak till morning come, it was very cold and windy.. the stars are great up there, but nothing beats the stars on Gunung tahan, it was brighter and also a lot more stars there..

we did some cleaning up, fill some plastic bag with rubbish, but the last plastic bag is very small because I felt lazy filling it ALONE
I fill the plastic bag while the others busy taking pics and chit chat, but I know some of them busy cleaning up their tent, so can not blame it on them, they also have the right not to clean up the mountain because its their choice, and I have to accept it.

Mei really is a nature lover,this young maiden collect all the rubbish that she found on the way, and her act amaze TMC and me.

-somehow I felt bad that I post G.Datuk story for the second time and still choosing not to post story about G.Tahan which was my best trekking experience so far. The long journey on Tahan really is too long to be written, and the experience is just MORE THAN WORDS

-while I was writing this blog I felt a bit upset because it was raining outside which make me can't play frisbee with my friends

well..
I haven't write my blog for a long time... due to some reason..
1. lazy
2. no trekking
3. no picture..

actually there have been 2 trekking activity before, but I just feel don't like it to post the story...
they are gunung tahan, and chiling with monash..
basically, I didn't write the story of gunung tahan because there are just too much to tell, and it makes me lazy to write the whole thing..
for chiling trek with monash, its the opposite of gunung tahan, theres nothing to tell about that trek, and i have post chiling pics also, so no point in posting that one..

In 26 Jan 2008, I have a trek with CIMPans

I was chosen by Mr.Varga to lead the way to go to our destination to the 3rd waterfall. It is a big responsibility that have been put on my back, and I didn't meet their expectation as a leader on the trek. Why?, it is because I was leading to the WRONG WAY, we are out of the trail. due to that, Mr.Varga becomes worried, everybody getting tired, and frustrated. Everybody rest at one point where there is a small river. While the other getting some rest, Mr.Varga, Mr.Marc-Andre, Scott (Scott = Hamed, he changed his name due to some reasons), and me searching for the right way. I followed Up the river to the top, But It is a dead end, theres a big wall of rock with water comings out of it, probably it the source of water for chiling. Can you believe it??, we trek until the source of the waterfall, it really makes me guilty to make them follow me to the wrong way. went to the wrong trail in chiling waterfall had mad me worry so much that it is scarier than the feeling when i'm running down from the peak of gunung tahan to kem kor. but, when if I think about it on the bright side, I got a new adventure, the path is very challenging, dangerous and messy, it really testing your strenght and your guts.

as we know that we already past the waterfall, we go back from the wrong trail and keep
searching for the correct path.
At the current time, I stay at the back and just chit chatting with scott, and some of the new lecturer.
I stay at the back because I feel guilty, and it destroy my will and my mood to lead.

Then, we found a checkpoint sign, and it makes everyone happy, we follow the path and Finally we reach the waterfall.
When we reach the waterfall, all of the CIMP students run to the pool and swimming eagerly. they have a lot of fun, relaxing their body and mind, forget about the stress, and have some fun.
While they were swimming, and play with the water, I dry my cloth, shoes, and socks, and then have a nice bite of an apple with Scott besides me eating his double cheese burger.

when scott and me finish eating, We went straight to the pool, Climb up the rock near the waterfall, then jump to the water. unfortunately, we only have 45 minutes to relax, because we spent to much time on the trail.

on the way back, everything went just fine, in addition I meet with Mr.Tan Ying Oon which is the math lecturer of monash University. we have a small chat, and at the time, I talk about kinabalu and korbu trek with him. I hope one of them will be my next trek.

In conslusion
It was a fun, realaxing, a bit sad, chilling, stressing, worrying, and nice trek.

Gunung IRAU - HAISH!!!

on 28 and 29 of June I went to IRAU...

FYI, IRAU is Mr.TMC favorite mountain...

Somehow I can't really enjoy this trek,, there are some reasons for it;

1. I don't like to trek at night

2. somehow I don't have a good chemistry with the group (maybe becoz we don't know really well and we have very different personality)

3. My torchlight went out of energy, so I have to use my eyes in night vision mode to trek for 2 hours in the dark

4. the peak was not so great

5. the place was SO DIRTY

6. it is sooooooo muddy there

7. I DON'T HAVE A CAMERA.... SHIT!!!

8. It was so cold, I didn't have a good sleep there, my body kept shaking all the time in the tent

9. we walked sooooo slooooww

but, its not all bad there, there also some factors that make me enjoy this trek

1. Nini, Aloy, TMC, and Mr.Varga was in the group ( TMC sing a song for me, it was funny; Nini, Aloy, TMC, and me keep walking in a group so I'm not so lonely)

2. the forest is GREAT (it was so green, mossy, and misty)

In Conclusion, I can't really enjoy this trek because there are more negative factors than positive factors in this trek...

BUKIT TABUR

on 21 april 2007 I went to bukit tabur...

at first I was quiet upset because I think mountain will be a lot better than a hill because it is higher and the view might be better. But I was WRONG, Bukit tabur is very nice... it is very tough and very dangerous... bukit tabur is very rocky, sometimes u have to climb the rock with rope (or wihout rope if u want).. the view also very good, because you can see a lake from the above of bukit tabur....

My leg got injured, it bleed a bit but it did not really affect me on the trek... but it affect me on my taekwondo practice because it start to bleed again when I did sparing with Nicholas... Our leg was hit each other and the hardened part of my wound was removed... the blood spilled on my trouser but luckily it is not sticky so it easily removed when I washed it...

CIMP Talent Night

The talent night for this semester was very good.......

so many good performances, especially the performance from ice nutz, and the lecturers......
but it was not all fun there.... there was a sad moment when we hear that some lecturers will go from cimp.... they were Mr.Varga, Mr.Gilick, and Ms.Song....

I don't have any relationship with Ms.song and Mr.Gilick so I don't feel anything when I knew that they would go.. But I know that their student feel sad because I heard they were good lecturers... The Mandarin Club also sang a song special for Ms.Song in the talent night...

Mr.Varga is one of the trekking club teacher advisor... I believe that many people from our club felt sad that he would go back to Canada, and I am One of them.... He is a nice trekking buddy and very reliable on every trekking trip...

Chiling Waterfall

This is my first trek to a waterfall and it was on 17 march 2007. This time I was choosen as a guide for this trip, I didn't even know why they chose me. Since I wanted to try and feel as a guide, I just said "yes" to their request.
From the other trek that I've done, this is the easiest one because the road is not steep and to cross the river is not hard. anyway lets enjoy the pictures that Mr.TMC, My Friends, and I have take.

Gunung Ledang

Now I'll tell you my story on gunung ledang.

It was started on the morning of 2nd march and ended in the evening of 3rd march

This mountain is the 64th highest mountain in malaysia.. but it is the 6th difficult...

The cost for this trek is very expensive. To be able to join the trek, I have to buy a new bag, a shoe, socks, raincoat, sleeping bag, and etc. It was cost me about RM250-RM300. I also have to pay for the registration fee which is RM105. This trek cause me a defisit for my February pocket money, but it was worth it because I got a great experience on Gunung Ledang.

When we trek on Gunung Ledang, My condition is much better than the condition when I trek on Gunung Datuk. I trek with nice pace and much faster than before. This time, we are not trekking directly to the peak, we trek for approximately 4 hours to the campsite, and then we took a rest, eat something, and tried to relax our body and mind. After about 1 hours , we started to trek to the peak. The trek to the peak take 3 hours. I reached the peak together with Amos, Nee on, Kourosh, Mr. Varga, and Armien. I feel so great that I can reach the peak together with these men, because they are very fast trekker. I able to make it because I started to jog every week and having another outdoor clubs in tuesday and wednesday. These exercise have increase my stamina and my leg power a lot. By the way, Farah and Ms. Nurashima did not reach the peak because Ms. Nurashima got a cramp and Farah should accompany her to get back to the campsite.

It was very cold and windy on the peak, which made me have to use my raincoat to cover my body, but unfortunately I wore Short and that make my leg feel so cold. Anyway, the view up there was so great, and we were above of some clouds. But we couldn't see sunset because the clouds covered the sun.

On the way back, it was very dangerous and more challenging because it was so dark. Due to the darkness on the night, 2 persons was Injured, Kelly and Armien. Luckily the injured was not so bad.

The fullmoon at that time is so great. It just so clear, quiet big, and shiny, but unfortunately I didn't get any good pictures of the moon.

Hello everyone

This is my first post to my blog and I want to share some of my great experience to you

26 january 2007, I went to Gunung Datuk to clean it up and enjoy the view with everyone.
It was my first time to trek and my heart was beating so fast. It was because my body was not fit at that time. I need about 2 hours to reach the peak of Gunung Datuk. Even I was really tired and I feel a lot of pain in my leg, My energy suddenly come back when I reach the peak. It feel really great up there. The wind blow so smooth, and the view was great. But unfortunately there were rubbish and grafity up there, we tried to clean it up but it was just too much for us. We already do our best, and the mountain was cleaner now.
